SQUARE QUILTER'S GUILD OF WAYNE COUNTY TENNESSEE

Fundraiser:	This Appliquéd Sunbonnet Sue Quilt has a finished size of 69” wide and 84” long. Guild members will be taking donations until the July 4th Drawing at 3 pm at the Waynesboro Fourth of July Festival. You do not need to be present to win. Winner will be notified by phone. $1 donation for each ticket to be placed in the July 4th Drawing

Next Meeting:	Will be held Monday May 5th at 10:00 am at the First United Methodist Church at 311 Hassell Street Waynesboro, TN 38485
	We will be discussing our annual fundraiser and other business. We will also be making small quilts after the meeting to be donated to a woman's shelter. There will also be a pot luck lunch.


Last Meeting:	We saw our "Sunbonnet Sue" Fundraiser Quilt and continued plans to have our fundraiser for the 4th of July Festival in Waynesboro. We also discussed completing another quilt in the hopes of doing another fundraiser near Christmas. We donated funds to The Red Cross Shelter in our area and the Woman of the Well.


Purpose:	The Square Quilter's Guild of Wayne County Tennessee was created as a way for people to get together and share their love of quilting. We also have made it a part of our mission to try to help those in need in the Wayne County Area. We have made lap quilts to donate to seniors in area nursing homes. We have made and donated small blankets to the maternity center and to the foster kid program. We also hold fundraisers so we can then donate funds to charities that provide services to citizens of Wayne County. We have contributed money to the Lion's Club, to help purchase a vehicle for our veteran's to use to go to the VA hospital, to the Lady's in Pink (a cancer support group), The Woman of the Well, and The Red Cross Shelter in our area.
